Pep's turn
Liverpool v Man City (Sun, 16:00GMT)
Simon Stone
BBC Sport
Arsene Wenger spoke - a little bit - about Alexis Sanchez earlier.
Next it is Pep Guardiola's turn.
If Guardiola had got his way, Sanchez would have been playing for City now but an August deal failed to materialise because Arsenal were unable to sign a replacement.
The pair had a season together at Barcelona before Guardiola quit to take a sabbatical. Their main honours in 2011-12 were the Spanish Cup and Fifa Club World Cup.

Klopp - Replace him? We step-up
Liverpool v Man City (Sunday 16:00 GMT)
Klopp has been asked about replacing Philippe Coutinho.
He said: "We don’t have to replace him, we have to step up. I don’t want to sound disrespectful because he was five years here but we only have to carry on."
Concerning the prospect of Naby Keita arriving early, who Liverpool have signed from RB Leipzig for the summer, he said: “He is player of Leipzig and I know he will be a player here in the summer."

Klopp had no chance of keeping Coutinho
Liverpool v Man City (Sunday, 16:00 GMT)
Jurgen Klopp is doing his media duties ahead of Sunday's game against Manchester City and he's been talking about the sale of Philippe Coutinho.
“There was no other option. If someone is angry or disappointed then it should be the manager of the club but we tried everything to convince Phil to stay here," said Klopp.
"He left Liverpool for only one club - Barcelona - but the club was fighting. It was 100% clear there was no chance I could use him in second half of the season. That’s over now. That’s it."

Gumbo74: Sturridge is made of bread sticks, any Manager/Owner that would sanction anything but a 'Free' needs their head read. Theo, I'd have him at WHU, look how well we did when we had Moses on loan.
Matt Jones: Liverpool sold Benteke to Crystal Palace 18 months ago (in a weaker market) for £30m. I would have Sturridge in my team any day over Benteke, even with injury concerns. £30m is a heck of a deal for a great player

Huddersfield sign Pritchard
Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield Town have signed Norwich midfielder Alex Pritchard.
The 24-year-old moves to Yorkshire for an undisclosed fee, on a contract running until summer of 2021.
A skilful, attack-minded midfielder who can operate in the number 10 position or on either flank, he will wear the number 21 shirt with the Terriers.
Pritchard, a product of the Tottenham Hotspur Academy, is a former England Under-21 international who has been named in the PFA’s Championship Team of the Year.
Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner said: “I’m very happy to be able to welcome Alex to Huddersfield Town.
“He is exactly the type of player that we like to work with at this Club. Alex is a young, British player who arrives as one of the top performers in the Sky Bet Championship and with a desire to prove himself in the Premier League.
"Now we will work hard with him to give him every possibility of being a success for us in the top division.
“I’d like to thank Dean Hoyle and the Board for being as supportive as ever in this transfer window and making this transfer possible.”

Jeff Stelling willing to put money into Hartlepool
Club president and television presenter Jeff Stelling has promised to provide financial support for Hartlepool United once new ownership has been found.
He's confident the club can find £200,000 for wages and costs to avoid administration this month after a crowd-funding appeal was set-up.
"I'm in early discussions, shall we say.
"[One] I believe is a genuine investor in the football club, who is willing to put significant amounts in and may yet step forward and save the day," Stelling told BBC Tees.
"We'll get the £200,000 and then we have a new investor or the Supporters Trust, I will certainly show the colour of my money at that stage because that is when we're going to need it."

Everyone saying Daniel Sturridge isn't worth £30m?! In the current market that's a steal. A few seasons ago his price would be far greater than that and this was when the market was (slightly) more sensible. Yep, he's made of glass - but get him fit and on his day he's unbelievable. Keep him at Liverpool.

Two Everton strikers, two different paths
The Liverpool Echo report this:
'Two Everton forwards were in town today - but both were heading in very different directions.
'New 27m euro capture from Besiktas, Cenk Tosun, is heading to London where he is expected to make his debut against Tottenham tomorrow.
'But Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru was heading back to Finch Farm where he is receiving treatment to a knee injury.
'Both players were spotted by Activate Digital leaving a city centre hotel today.
'Onyekuru joined Everton in the summer before being sent out on loan to Anderlecht where he had scored nine goals in 19 appearances in the Jupiler Pro league before sustaining a knee injury.'

Cardiff sign Norwich winger Wildschut on loan
Cardiff City have signed winger Yanic Wildschut from Norwich on loan until the end of the 2017-18 season.
The 26-year-old joined the Canaries from Wigan in January, 2017, but has scored only once this season.
He moved from his Netherlands homeland in 2014 to Middlesbrough and joined Wigan in January, 2016.
Wildschut has joined Championship promotion challengers Bluebirds with the option of becoming a permanent signing at the end of the campaign.

Oxlade-Chamberlain makes bold claim
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says Philippe Coutinho's departure will not affect Liverpool at all.
The midfielder said: "When Phil wasn't in the team, we still played great football and we have still amazing players who can score goals.
"I have every faith in the boys that we just move on now. I don't think it should affect us at all."
What do you think? Is he putting a brave face on or is he right?

Quique Sanchez Flores is top of the club's list and they've been linked with Martin O'Neill.
Would you want either of those two men or is there someone else the club should be chasing?
I wonder if they're checking on the train times to Stoke?
Martin O'Neill for Stoke definitely, but not along with Roy Keane, who will contribute little and distract from the job in hand. Which is to avoid relegation..!!

Abramovich has a fight on his hands regarding new stadium
Simon Stone
BBC Sport
There is no doubt the Crosthwaites live in a very desirable part of London. The trees which shield them from the railway line are part of a conservation area.
However, their home is not an enormous property. Chelsea players who perform at Stamford Bridge will doubtless live in far bigger homes.
The thing that makes this particular house unique is that, unlike all the other properties on the street, it is directly opposite the stadium.
All the rest look straight at an adjacent hotel, which is to be pulled down to allow Stamford Bridge to be rebuilt. Those houses could get marginally more light because the stadium will be further away.
For the Crosthwaites, no such consolation exists. And, as the family have occupied the same house for half a century, they are committed to fighting Roman Abramovich, no matter how much the odds are stacked against them.

Simon Atkins: On his day he is electric, sure. However, his day comes so rarely due to injury that he is 100% not worth 30m. 10-15 at best.

Records keep falling for Pep
Pep Guardiola has made history with a fourth Manager of the Month award in a row.
The Manchester City manager is the first to achieve the feat in the Premier League, adding to his September, October and November triumphs with the December award.
Guardiola's League leaders opened up a 14-point gap at the top with six wins and one draw in an unbeaten month.
The Spaniard topped a six-man shortlist also including Everton's Sam Allardyce, Chelsea's Antonio Conte, Roy Hodgson of Crystal Palace, Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The winner was selected by a combination of votes from a panel of experts and the public.

Kane is player of the month AGAIN
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has equalled Steven Gerrard's Premier League record with his sixth Player of the Month award.
Kane scored eight goals in six December matches, including back-to-back hat-tricks against Burnley and Southampton, to set a record of 39 Premier League goals in a calendar year.
"I'd probably say my favourite goal was the one that broke the [calendar year] record against Southampton," said Kane
"Obviously there's a lot of talk before the game about whether I'd do it or not so to get that goal early on in the game as well, it was a great achievement."
And people say Kane needs to leave Tottenham to win things......That's a joke before you start hammering us.

Matty : Daniel Sturridge is arguably at his peak at 28 years old but he’s injury prone & he doesn’t play regular football. There is no way he’s worth 30m. Transfer fees are ridiculous. The only good deal I’ve seen recently is Barkley for 15m.
Benj : Sturridge is unquestionably a talent, but in the modern game, very few teams, could or would, accommodate a player who is so selfish in terms of what he offers to the collective.
Does anyone out there believe he's worth £30m - on his day he's electric isn't he?

There's no doubt he's a talented striker.
There's also no doubt he's had some real misfortune with injuries.
The Liverpool Echo are reporting Sturridge can now leave Liverpool but the club want £30m for him.
There's a World Cup coming and he needs games. Who should come in for him and is £30m a fair price?

Fantasy Football - what type of manager are you?
The transfer window tends to make fantasy football managers a little bit jumpy - I can see you all now deciding whether to stick or twist on Theo Walcott.

Arsene's shift in stance
David Ornstein
BBC Sport
A significant shift in tone from Arsene Wenger on Alexis Sanchez in today’s news conference.
Wenger had previously always suggested Sanchez would stay until the end of the season but now says:
Nothing is really concrete at the moment and nothing is decided one way or another. Normally he would stay at the club until the end of the season but we'll see.
He also confirmed that Sanchez will only leave if Arsenal can sign a replacement, which is in our story from last night.

Howe - King and Stanislas could return
Bournemouth v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)
Joshua King and Junior Stanislas could both be in line for a return against Arsenal at the weekend.
King limped off against Everton after making the opening goal, while Stanislas hasn’t played since the defeat to Manchester City.
Eddie Howe also provided an update on Tyrone Mings and Jermain Defoe as they continue to recover from longer term injuries.
"Both Joshua and Junior are making really good progress,” he said.
"They’re both back for us on the training pitch so we’re pleased with that, but we’ll have to make a late decision on whether they will play.
"We have no fresh injuries either. We’ve got Tyrone Mings who has a complicated injury, we thought a period of rest would solve it and that hasn’t worked. Unfortunately, he’ll have to have a longer period of rest before he returns.
"Jermain is good at the moment, he’s restricted to wearing a protected boot so there’s no massive update on him but we’re expecting him to progress in the time frame we have set."

This is the challenge for Coutinho
Philippe Coutinho couldn't wipe the smile from his face at the Nou Camp last night as his new team-mates whetted his appetite for what lies in store.
It may also have given the former Liverpool man an indicator of what level his gamed must be at to get in Ernesto Valverde's team regularly.
Barca swept Celta Vigo aside 5-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, with four goals arriving in a compelling first half.
Lione Messi was at his clinical best scoring twice, Jordi Alba shone, and Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez also looked sharp.
