Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has described as ‘unfair’ a case instituted by the finance commissioner to former governor Fayemi, Dapo Kolawole at the federal high court, Abeokuta seeking an order to stop the payment of eleven billion naira due to Ekiti state as refund for construction and rehabilitation of federal roads in the state.
Addressing newsmen at the government House Ado Ekiti on Wednesday Governor Fayose said the action by the former finance commissioner was another display of hatred against the state and its people.
The governor added that his administration would do everything within the ambit of the law to stop the court action.
But reacting, the former Commissioner for Finance, Dapo Kolawole has denied that he and Fayemi were blocking money due to the state. He accused governor Fayose of only trying to blackmail them to score cheap political point.
