Opposition continues to mount against the proposed cattle colonies for herdsmen. The latest is coming from some religious leaders in the country.
The archbishop and primate of Nigeria Anglican Communion most Reverend Nicholas Okoh and the archbishop Kwara province most rev olusegun adeyemi have called on the president to take decisive and pragmatic steps towards stopping the killing.
Primate Nicholas Okoh and Archbishop Olusegun Adeyemi are adding their voices against the carnage inflicted by armed herdsmen in recent times in the country on farmers and innocent citizens.
They said the federal government has in time past dealt with different groups that threatened the peace of the country but wandered why dealing with the herdsmen is posing a difficult task for the government.
The clergymen also kicked against the move to create cattle colonies for herdsmen around the country.
The minister of agriculture and rural development Audu Ogbe had proposed the cattle colonies for herdsmen in the country.
